Joan Will is a healthcare marketing, communications and sales executive with more than 25 years’ leadership experience in medical technology firms ranging from start-ups to billion-dollar global organizations. Her work has spanned strategy, business development, product development, marketing communications, corporate communications, sales and team leadership.
A trained scientist with a background in molecular genetics, she applies her curiosity and passion for healthcare to drive medical innovations into commercial markets. While employed at innovative and high-growth companies such as Gore Medical, Roche Diagnostics, Zimmer Biomet, Vascular Solutions and Enova Medical, Joan has helped develop, launch and commercialize over 30 Class I and II medical devices, in-vitro diagnostics, and research-use only products and services including oligonucleotide synthesis services, software, the world’s first cordless LED surgical headlight, disruptive interventional cardiology devices, and numerous implantable surgical products.
Focused on building relationships and supporting the community through service leadership, Joan has volunteered at UArizona assisting new companies with business planning and lean start-up methodologies, was a two-time host family for French interns in Edina, Minnesota, a past VP of Finance at the American Marketing Association Minnesota chapter, and has assisted with fundraising and community relations for University High School in Tucson. Joan is also a member of Desert Angels, a highly active investor group helping launch early-stage Southwest companies.
Joan earned an M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Minnesota, published four peer-reviewed journal articles while a molecular biology research associate at University of California, San Francisco, and holds an undergraduate degree in genetics from the University of California, Berkeley. She has completed professional development courses in marketing strategy, digital marketing, content marketing, branding, corporate events and tradeshows, leadership and culture, and communications, and has mentored and coached marketing, sales and communications professionals.

John Will is a fractional COO to help build and scale your business. He has over 25 years of broad experience in various industries: power generation, temperature control, medical diagnostics, computer networking, material testing and consumer electronics.
His work includes strategic planning, finance and strategy deployment, business and operations management as well as manufacturing, engineering and supply chain management roles. He led the manufacturing scale-up and commercialization of an electro-magnetic motor technology at Bose Corporation where he gained financial management, business systems implementations experience and developed his leadership skills. More recently he combined his operations, engineering and business development experience to help a university start-up commercialize a solar technology.
John’s corporate and lean start-up experience combined with his disciplined engineering mind set enables quick transitions from high level business thinking to working within the details for implementing strategy and driving change. He has used the balanced scorecard approach to connect vision and strategy to the tactical day-to-day business activities. He focuses on continuous improvement through analyzing processes and operating expenses to simplify work flow and manage costs.
He earned a mechanical engineering and public policy degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota. He has lived and worked throughout the US and embraces the unique lifestyle and experiences within each region. He is active in the community and has held numerous volunteer roles ranging from youth soccer to boy scouts to entrepreneurial mentoring. John currently lives in Tucson, AZ where he enjoys the surrounding mountains and takes advantage of the 350 + days of sunshine!
